Digitalization of royal craftsmanship: with the Royal Master Edition, porcelain masterpieces become NFTs. KPM and Sleek presented how the handmade icons and the virtual images fit together at a well-attended vernissage.
VERNISSAGE OF THE ROYAL MASTER EDITION IN BERLIN
Digital royal
Extravagant, eclectic, masterfully crafted: the Royal Master Edition from the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur includes five icons of porcelain craftsmanship. Over 130 guests came to admire this top-class collection at Studio 1763. Together with Sleek, KPM hosted a launch and talk: Sleek boss Christian Bracht interviewed Jenja Carow (Head of Marketing & Sales at KPM Berlin) and Jörg Woltmann (owner of KPM Berlin) about the ground-breaking new collection.
Art of today for tomorrow
Unique pieces were on display - from Rococo to New Objectivity, each accompanied by an NFT as a digital certificate of authenticity. The idea was born as part of last year's 260th anniversary of the manufactory, so that in addition to the certificates, 260 NFTs (at a price of 260 euros) have also been developed, which can be purchased independently of the physical work of art. An investment that is just as timeless as the handmade pieces from KPM Berlin.
So full that people even gathered outside.
Golden times
Judging by the enthusiastic conversations, the special highlight of the guests (including fashion designer Esther Perbandt and photographer Kristian Schuller) was one piece in particular: the golden speech vase, whose almost masterful engraving looked like a retro-futuristic 3D postcard.
