For the Multicolore decor, the master painters from the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin decorate the classicist band of the KURLAND collection with nuances from pastel gray to royal blue, as timeless and multifaceted as the collection itself.

Rich floral painting fond gold - decor 74
Naturalistic flower paintings are one of the cornerstones of KPM Berlin's artistic reputation. Painted freely by hand and curated in composition by master painters, filigree flowers, a mint-colored background and accents in shiny gold revitalize the KURLAND collection in decor 74 in a new way.

Every piece in the KPM Individual series is unique in the truest sense. As a present, it has embodied the highest personal appreciation for over 250 years. The KPM master painting individualizes almost every KPM favorite piece with initials, an elegant name or a personal message. In this way, perfected craftsmanship and artistic master painting are combined. An ideal gift for unique occasions such as births, christenings and weddings or simply as a special piece for your own collection.
PETER BIRON, DUKE OF COURLAND
In 1790, Peter Biron, Duke of Courland, commissioned the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin to design a magnificent table service. After the courtly Rococo with its shell and tendril work, the return to antiquity became the dominant stylistic device around 1770. In keeping with the new aesthetic, the Berlin manufactory created a collection in a strictly classicist form called “Service with an antique edge”. It was later renamed KURLAND in honor of its client.
