Like all pieces from the URBINO collection, the cookie tin is as elegant as it is simple. Designer Trude Petri, who created the entire URBINO service, chose the most perfect of all shapes as her model: the sphere. The spherical shape can also be found several times in the harmonious cookie tin - in different proportions: in the large body of the tin, which can also be used individually as a bowl , in the slightly domed lid and in the knob, which consists of a precise, hand-engraved sphere. Each URBINO porcelain piece has the spherical cut as its basic shape. Trude Petri was inspired by East Asian vessels that she saw at the "Chinese Art" exhibition in Berlin in 1929. With these bulbous, geometric and smooth shapes of the service, Trude Petri has created a harmonious and timeless porcelain design.
