THE ARTIST COOPERATION ENTERS THE SECOND ROUND

The KPM+ Edition of the artist Anna Haifisch is extended by a
LAB Beaker Duo Set No. 1 - presented by SZ Magazin.

Frederick the Great had two great loves: Porcelain and dogs. In the second KPM+ edition, artist and comic artist Anna Haifisch focuses on Frederick's wind chime Biche and the dwarf spaniel Folichon belonging to his sister Wilhelmine of Prussia. The so-called dog letters were created in May 1748.

In the name of his greyhound Biche, the Prussian king wrote heart-rending sentences to the little dwarf spaniel Folichon. Wilhelmine replied for Folichon ("the little madman") with
longing lines. The LAB Mug Duo Set No. 1 from the KPM + Anna Haifisch edition costs 145 euros and is now available in our KPM Berlin stores throughout Germany and in the online store.

Anna Haifisch transports the eccentric pen pal relationship and intimate sibling love onto the LAB Mug No. 1 in her usual humorous way. Biche and Folichon snuggle up - quite the pampered, royal darlings - in a drawn blue line under soft blankets and on fluffy cushions against a white background. The glazed part of the LAB Mug No. 1 provided the perfect background for Haifisch: she applied her designs by hand with pen and paint. The decorations of the edition were applied by the KPM master painters in a hand-printing process in the spirit of the artist and are very robust and dishwasher-safe. This makes the mug set the perfect complement to the artist's LAB Bowl, which is dedicated to Friedrich's seven wind chimes.

Frederick THE GREAT
HAD TWO GREAT LOVES: PORCELAIN AND DOGS

Frederick THE GREAT HAD TWO GREAT LOVES: PORCELAIN AND DOGS

Frederick the Great had two great loves: Porcelain and dogs. His last words were for Superbe, his favorite dog, who faithfully lingered by his deathbed.

The award-winning Leipzig artist and comic artist Anna Haifisch has now combined Frederick's faibles on the bowls in the LAB collection - as a humorous combination of passion and history. Biche, Alcmène, Hasenfuß, Thisbe, Phillis, Arsione and Suberbe - Friedrich's seven wind chimes now jump, play and chase in delicate blue lines on a white background. It is no coincidence that they are reminiscent of birds in their pointed filigree. After all, it is not only Haifisch who artistically prefers feathered motifs, Frederick also knew: "An idiot who has not yet realized that the wind chime is not a dog at all, but a four-legged bird."

Purity, whiteness and hardness play a major role in the medium of porcelain (similar to her otherwise preferred medium of paper). "When an ink pen glides wet and without resistance over a smooth surface, there is nothing more satisfying for me," the artist sums up.
