With its large shape and a volume of 0.4 liters, the URBINO breakfast cup from KPM Berlin is just the right size for a cappuccino or café au lait. Of course, aromatic tea specialties taste just as good from it. Inspired by the rimless ceramic plates of the Italian Renaissance and the elegance of East Asian porcelain art, Trude Petri created a service with clear, balanced proportions, whose bowl-shaped plates, bowls and bowls are the perfect accompaniment to the breakfast cup.

History

designer: Trude Petri year: 1931 material: Porzellan

In 1931, Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection. Its clarity and aesthetics, created through consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all forms: the circle. Inspiration was also provided by the Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino as the namesake of the collection. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a delicate lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.
