In 1931, Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection. Its clarity and aesthetics, created through consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all forms: the circle. Inspiration was also provided by the Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino as the namesake of the collection. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a delicate lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.

Each URBINO porcelain piece has the spherical cut as its basic shape. Trude Petri was inspired by East Asian vessels that she saw at the "Chinese Art" exhibition in Berlin in 1929.
