History

designer: Trude Petri year: 1931 material: Porzellan

In 1931, Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection. Its clarity and aesthetics, created through consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all forms: the circle. Inspiration was also provided by the Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino as the namesake of the collection. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a delicate lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.

Product description

Product description

The charger plate from the URBINO series and the 26 cm dinner plate together make a particularly harmonious and stylish place setting, which can be ideally complemented with the URBINO soup plate. If you need a little more space for serving culinary creations, use the URBINO chargercharger plate as a large dinner plate and combine it with the 29.5 cm gourmet plate.

Inspired by the rimless ceramic plates of the Italian Renaissance and the elegance of East Asian porcelain art, Trude Petri created a service with clear, balanced proportions, whose bowl-shaped plates, bowls and cups are consistently developed from circular and spherical shapes.
