Commissioned by Peter von Biron, Duke of Kurland, a series in a strictly neoclassical style was created in Berlin around 1790 in keeping with the new aesthetic—a series that would go on to become an icon of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin: KURLAND. Its design pays homage to the ideals and forms of the ancient world. Simplicity, austerity, and symmetry come together to form an elegant, cohesive, and timeless design—arguably the most significant porcelain collection of the Classical period.

This tennis season, KPM Berlin is at the top of the world rankings and is bringing the limited-edition KPM Tennis Cup to Center Court—an exclusive porcelain mug that combines the traditional KURLAND relief with a sporty tennis ball design.
The mug’s bright yellow color is accented by precisely placed white lines that echo the distinctive look of a tennis ball, contrasted by a sportswear-inspired KPM logo in black. In this way, the dynamism of tennis is translated into the brand’s timeless design language.
During the Berlin Tennis Open, taking place June 13–21, 2026, the KPM Tennis Cup will be presented to all female players, marking one of the summer’s most significant tennis moments in the capital. KPM Berlin is supporting this sporting highlight—under the motto “White Sport Meets White Gold”—not only with this exclusive product but also as a sponsor.
With this edition, KPM Berlin highlights its blend of tradition and modernity, as well as its commitment to capturing cultural and sporting events in meticulously crafted objects. The KPM Tennis Cup is both a tribute and a collector’s item. Match point for craftsmanship!
