The fragrance of the manufactory between heritage and today
The Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur takes you on an olfactory journey behind the scenes of the traditional walls that have been guarding the secrets of Berlin porcelain production since 1763. During the elaborate, meticulously perfected transformation of three natural raw materials - kaolin, feldspar and quartz - into fine objects for the table and home, numerous special fragrances surround the experts. The special fragrance bouquet of Berlin porcelain can be experienced particularly in the traditional manufactory's master paintings: skilled master painters mix powdery colour pigments with natural oils such as lavender, aniseed and orange and bring to life an aromatic fragrance composition that lets the senses wander alongside detailed flower paintings, landscapes, vedute and individualizations.
The fragrance of the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin now fills your own feel-good residence with the fascinating flair of its place of origin as an aroma candle. Captured by a porcelain vessel from the KURLAND collection (1790), the fresh Edition WEISS fragrance composition tells the story of the porcelain manufactory, which has now been in existence for over 250 years, between heritage and modernity.
