To mark the 250th anniversary of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, Chief Designer Thomas Wenzel created this collection, offering a fresh way to experience the iconic KURLAND relief, which has been in existence since 1790: To bring out the relief with the utmost precision, the glaze is carefully removed by hand.

The bowl is, bowl , just as well suited for side dishes, raw vegetables, cheese, cold cuts, or pastries. Its oval shape also makes it the perfect saucer for the KURLAND Blanc Nouveau gravy boat.

Following the courtly Rococo style, with its shell and vine motifs, the design language of antiquity became the dominant stylistic element at KPM Berlin as well by the end of the 18th century. Thus, in 1790, the strictly neoclassical KURLAND design was created at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin.
