A delicate relief borders the small bowl and the lid, which is crowned by a bud. Below the bud, the lid is adorned with fluting. These vertical grooves are a typical stylistic element from antiquity and are reminiscent of the design of ancient columns and pillars. Like all porcelain pieces in the KURLAND BLANC NOUVEAU collection, the butter dish stands out thanks to the playful interplay of glazed surfaces and matte reliefs made of biscuit porcelain all in white.
