History

designer: Enzo Mari year: 1996 material: Porcelain

The BERLIN collection achieves what only the city that lends its name to this unconventional design can: creating something beautiful from the symbiosis of contradictions. Developed in 1996 by the Italian designer Enzo Mari in collaboration with the designers at KPM Berlin, it harmoniously combines opposites, just as its designer once did.

The side dish bowl from KPM Berlin is a real eye-catcher on your table. Shaped like a drop, the porcelain from Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin is the ideal bowl for serving dips or small nibbles. Measuring 12.2 x 17.6 cm, the small bowl from the BERLIN service is a small highlight on your table. It is even more eye-catching and individual with the Platinum rim and Black rim decors or the Pianta decor . Using the so-called soft painting technique, the porcelain painters conjure up the "Wood Sorrel" motif on the elegant side dish bowl from KPM Berlin. At the beginning of the 90s, KPM Berlin recruited Enzo Mari as a designer. In collaboration with the KPM Berlin master workshop, he designed the BERLIN shape, a porcelain series that combines classic shapes with new accents.
