The celebrations for the 65th birthday of the Sandman are entering their second round. Just in time for the anniversary on November 22, KPM Berlin is launching the "Unser Sandmännchen" figure in the white edition in cooperation with rbb media - just like its predecessor in gold, strictly limited to 65 pieces.

Developed together with rbb media, the figure is a fusion of contemporary design and centuries-old craftsmanship tradition. Handcrafted from high-quality porcelain in the 261-year-old manufactory, it is individually numbered by hand. This figure is a modern interpretation by KPM chief designer Thomas Wenzel, who adapted Gerhard Behrendt's original figure figurine from 1960 for porcelain.

OUR SANDMAN EDITION GOLD

The White Edition follows on from the Gold Edition, a limited edition of 65 pieces of the iconic figure, which was hand-painted with 24-carat gold in KPM's master painting workshop and sold out to the last copy within a very short time as a coveted collector's item.
