HOTELLERY HIGHLIGHT: HOTEL Brandenburg Gate POTSDAM

Arrive and relax. This could be the motto that hovers over a stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Potsdam. The Boutique Hotel Brandenburg Gate awaits your visit in the heart of the old town. Hotel director Benjamin Schätzle took us on a tour of his hotel - and gave us a few insider tips on what you shouldn't miss out on in the Brandenburg state capital.

Unique location invites you to stroll through the city

The stylishly restored and carefully modernized listed building ensemble is located directly next to the Brandenburg Gate. You can reach the main entrance to Sanssouci Palace Park in just a few minutes via the adjacent Luisenplatz: the famous Green Grille. If you fancy a shopping tour, you can stroll from the hotel through the pedestrian zone of Brandenburger Strasse towards the Dutch Quarter - you will also pass our KPM store, where we look forward to your visit!

"A very special highlight for me," says Benjamin Schätzle, "is the Pfingstberg Belvedere. From here, you can see all the way to Peacock Island via artificially created sightlines, as well as the Casino and Glienicke Palace, Babelsberg Palace and the Flatow Tower, the former Church of the Holy Spirit, St. Nicholas Church and Potsdam city centre." All that's missing is the Barberini Art Museum and a unique city trip is guaranteed!

Relaxation at the highest level

After such well-filled days, you can enjoy the feeling of being immediately at home in the stylishly furnished rooms. The friendly and competent service always takes care of your well-being. "Our staff make the difference," says Schätzle proudly. "Every member of staff contributes to the success of this hotel through their personality and their arrangements."

Whether you want to relax in a feel-good bath or prefer to enjoy the highest sleeping comfort on high-quality mattresses and with individual pillow sizes is entirely up to you. Or perhaps you'd like to head to the cozy Voltaire Bar to round off the evening in a pleasant atmosphere? Incidentally, this is also where the director's personal KPM favorite piece can be found: "I always find the bust of Old Fritzen very impressive, especially in terms of the precision with which it was worked."

Quality and love for the product are our top priorities. This is precisely why the elegant URBINO porcelain from KPM is used in hotel gastronomy. "The blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design is unique and you can see that in the quality." So start the next morning with a delicious gourmet breakfast - the state capital still has a lot to offer you!
