Craftsmanship and the will to achieve the highest quality. Royal Porcelain Manufactory and industrial designer Mark Braun have these two qualities in common - and so a collaboration was only a matter of time.
Founded in 2006 by Mark Braun, the Berlin design studio has won awards: IF Award, Red Dot or German Design Award - his work has rightly earned worldwide recognition. His studio stands for the highest standards in the field of industrially manufactured products, accessories, furniture and lighting.
Good design makes life easier and perhaps even happier.
In addition to his work as an industrial designer and lecturer at universities, the designer also creates independent works and exclusive editions - for example for KPM. The limited PLANETARIUM series tells the story of a journey through our solar system and impresses with its minimalist design.
In the beginning was light
The sun is at the center of our planetary system, with the eight other planets orbiting around it - in perfect rhythm and complete harmony. The biscuit porcelain lantern series is inspired by this decelerating force. The 8 hand-applied decor variants are complemented by a handwritten note stating the number of days the respective celestial body needs to orbit the sun. They are also limited in time - making them real collector's items. It all started, of course, with the Earth - followed by Mars and Jupiter.
