In 1925, the State Bauhaus moved from Weimar to Dessau. There, the art school found ideal conditions for modern art and architecture. Under director Günther von Pechmann, who was also chairman of the Deutscher Werkbund, the ideas of the Bauhaus and New Objectivity also influenced KPM Berlin.
