Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection in 1931. Its clarity and aesthetics, created by consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all shapes: the circle. The Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino, which gave the collection its name, also provided inspiration. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a graceful lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.
