History

designer: Karl Frederick Schinkel year: 1818 material: porcelain

The TROMPETENFORM vase was designed by none other than Karl Frederick Schinkel. The vase shape was created in 1818 and follows the stylistic elements of classicism. The clear lines of the sweeping opening neck in combination with the ring-like decorative elements on the lower rim make the shape a classic from the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin.

The shape, based on a design by Schinkel, supports the flowers at the bottom and allows them to fall apart beautifully at the top.
