The Stuttgart artist Reiner Xaver Sedelmeier inspired KPM head designer Thomas Wenzel to create a collaboration in which everyday design meets high-quality porcelain. The decor was inspired by industrial mudguards. The result was jug, mugs and vases made of biscuit porcelain in a cylindrical shape, which were given the typical elliptical forms of metal. The industrial derivation inspired KPM head designer Thomas Wenzel and defined the shape: "Tear plate is normally rolled, so the starting point was quickly to take the cylinder or, in other words, the tube as the shape."
