Following the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus in 2019, the aesthetic and formal design principles of that era remain as relevant and attractive as ever. For this reason, KPM Berlin is once again showcasing its Bauhaus porcelains with the b100.1 collection and launching a tribute to timeless classic modernism with objects designed in masterful hand painting. The Bauhaus icon in the KPM Berlin design portfolio is the HALLE vase group developed by Marguerite Friedlaender-Wildenhain in 1930. Its design impresses with its clear lines, balanced proportions and the harmonious symbiosis of the geometric spheres and cones. The linear, hand-painted decor in gray, black, iron red and 24-carat gold was inspired by a design by the artist Professor Ernst Böhm (1890-1963) from the 1920s.
