Vase CADRE 3

“Introspectus” is the result of a collaboration between three style-conscious partners: KPM Berlin, Zeloot, and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazine. Dutch illustrator Eline van Dam, also known as Zeloot, captivates audiences with her colorful, humorous, whimsical, and at the same time ingenious illustrations. Her career as an artist began in the basement of an old school building, where a wide variety of experimental events took place regularly; she illustrated posters and artwork for these events and printed them herself. She has also designed children’s books. Today, her work regularly appears on the covers of leading publications such as SZ-Magazin, Die Zeit, and The New York Times.
In October 2018, as part of a collaboration with SZ-Magazin, Zeloot presented her illustrations for the first time on the CADRE vase, an absolute design classic from KPM Berlin. For this project, the artist interpreted the vases from KPM’s CADRE series as faces—faces that reflect the emotions, memories, and thoughts a person holds within. Incidentally, Zeloot’s favorite flower is the blue thistle, which she calls “the punk of flowers.” What she particularly likes about it is that its “ blue ” appears both warm and cool at the same time. And she thinks the blue thistle would look great in any CADRE vase.
The “ Cadre , 3 Introspectus Edition” is a vase strictly limited to 9 pieces, featuring a glossy platinum finish. The finish is applied to the mirrored surface, making the vase appear even more vibrant than its colors already do.
