Product Information

The name of the ZEN bowls from the “ KPM Berlin ” collection refers to the Japanese philosophy of Zen Buddhism. As with the KPM URBINO series, the designers at the Berlin-based manufactory drew inspiration here as well from the serene beauty of Far Eastern porcelain. With a capacity of 2.6 liters, the ZEN-bowl 4 is the largest piece in a four-piece set and is ideal as a salad bowl.

In 1931, Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection. Its clarity and aesthetics, created through consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all forms: the circle. Inspiration was also provided by the Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino as the namesake of the collection. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a delicate lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.
