With URBINO, the young designer Trude Petri created a milestone in tableware culture at the beginning of her thirty-year career at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin. The elegant functionality of the shapes derived from the circle and sphere is still as relevant today as it was at the time of its creation in 1931. The coffee pot from the KPM URBINO service reflects the full genius of the design. The slender teardrop shape of the pot is consistently continued in the lid and is crowned by a spherical knob. With a capacity of 1.2 liters, the large coffee pot from the URBINO service by KPM Berlin can hold up to ten URBINO coffee cups or five URBINO breakfast cups.
The gently curved shapes of the URBINO collection are emphasized in decor 11 by a minimalist staffage of genuine shiny platinum. A ribbon drawn by a practiced hand wraps around the circular pieces in the collection and makes plates, bowls and cups shine with a unique sense of style.
