Berlin loves design - and good coffee. The limited edition "Herr Ober" brings together two Berlin originals, Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin (KPM) and Einstein Kaffee, to show how beautiful design can make everyday life more sustainable - without any finger-wagging.
The handmade porcelain cup from the KPM manufactory in Tiergarten combines classic Berlin craftsmanship with modern esprit. French illustrator César Debargue has provided the iconic KURLANDcup with a tongue-in-cheek motif: A busy waiter with steaming coffee in the KURLAND cup hurries across the pristine white of the porcelain - a tribute to the capital's coffee culture.
Berlin is not only creative, but also conscious: every year, almost three billion disposable cups end up in the bin in Germany. The "Herr Ober" cup aims to beautify the cityscape - with its perfectly shaped design and less waste. Anyone who uses it not only saves on disposable cups, but is also rewarded with a 20% discount on all coffee drinks at Einstein Kaffee until the end of 2026.
The cooperation shows what sustainable thinking in Berlin can look like: stylish, humorous and locally rooted. The porcelain mug is not only a daily companion, but also a small design statement for a more beautiful city.
