Built in 1894 by Paul Wallot, the Reichstag was once the parliamentary seat of Wilhelmine Germany and the Weimar Republic. Today it is a living symbol of democracy. After the Brandenburg Gate , it is the second sculpture from the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin in the "Berlin Motifs" series and is as decorative as it is functional in its biscuit porcelain finish. Consisting of two parts, the REICHSTAG can be used to store business cards. A slightly raised section in the base also offers the option of storing pens.
