LAB Mug No. 1B

The " cup " from the LAB series are considered true multifunctional all-rounders in this collection—developed by KPM Chief Designer Thomas Wenzel in the style of the laboratory porcelain produced in the past—which is characterized by its clean aesthetics and functionality. With a capacity of 250 ml, the “ cup ” No. 1B is ideally suited for use as a delicate teacup; weighing just 126 g, it fits perfectly in the hand. Like the other “ cup ” pieces in the series, the combination of glossy, smooth glazed porcelain in the upper half and matte “ biscuit porcelain ” in the lower half makes the “ cup ” 1B a true delight to hold.
The clear, minimalist, almost openwork “Enso” rim decoration breaks with the tradition of the classic, uniform colored rim. In Japanese calligraphy, “Enso” signifies enlightenment and elegance, strength and harmony. It depicts a brushstroke applied richly and thickly in a single, fluid motion that gradually loses intensity as it extends. This form inspired the “ decor ” Enso, which adds original accents to the LAB collection and the table setting in a variety of colors.
