Spontaneity and speed make the creative process authentic for the artist. It is precisely this immediacy that suggests a flowing materiality. "For me, KPM stands for historical greatness and uncompromising quality. The combination of hardness and delicacy of the porcelain material inspires me and its pure white reminds me of light. I can realize my drawings particularly directly and vividly on it."
As a painter, sculptor and draughtsman, expressive shapes and colors, such as stylized flowers, Mediterranean fruit and beautiful female bodies, are his subject matter. "I am interested in freely depicting vitality, the affirmation of life." Szczesny transferred this mood to the porcelain icons of KPM Berlin during his guest appearance at KPM Berlin Meistermalerei.
