Product description

For the KPM+ ONE MILLION BY ULI AIGNER Edition, the artist has translated a total of 150 mugs and 150 bowls from the URANIA collection, which Trude Petri designed in 1938 in the spirit of the Bauhaus, into her artistic aesthetic.

The result: a hybrid of Trude Petri and Uli Aigner. The artist starts by turning a modified plaster model of the original. The upper part is free-turned and remains unglazed in order to create an exciting interplay between rough and glazed haptics. The manufacturing process can thus be read in the shapes and surfaces.

Each vessel in the KPM+ ONE MILLION BY ULI AIGNER edition is engraved with a number, the artist's signature and the KPM Berlin stamp in the form of the royal blue sceptre. The unique pieces can be located on the digital world map via the website www.one-million.world.
