KPM To-go cup

The new KPM+ Edition by German painter Tatjana Doll lets you experience a piece of her studio in a tangible, portable form. For this collaboration, Tatjana Doll has transferred a series of bears—which for years covered the floor of her studio—onto a “to-go” cup . The complexity of the color traces left by the active studio environment on the bears’ original motif evokes both the painting process and Doll’s approach to everyday motifs.
Furthermore, the “ cup ” represents a transitional object as defined by the British
psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott. Just as Winnicott explored the transfer of a child’s affection onto an object (often a teddy bear), the warming “ cup ” now brings a sense of well-being into our everyday lives. The first coffee of the day or a warming cup of tea in winter evokes a feeling of relaxation and security. We invite you to bring Tatjana Doll’s artistic talent into your everyday life and fill it with warmth. The Winnicott edition, strictly limited to 100 pieces, will be unveiled at Gallery Weekend Berlin 2024 and combines Tatjana’s adopted home of Berlin—represented by a bear—with the time-honored craftsmanship of KPM.
