The large, oval platter from the KPM porcelain series ARKADIA complements your perfectly laid table with its extremely high quality. The small platter shows the god of light, healing, spring, moral purity and temperance as well as prophecy and the arts on its relief medallion. In Greco-Roman mythology, he was also seen as the god of archers. Bring the dreamland of Arcadia from KPM Berlin into your own dining room and indulge in a world of fantasy among KPM porcelain. Marvel at the cookie medallions designed by Siegmund Schütz and experience the elegant contrast with the service shape designed by Trude Petri.

Care

To ensure that you can enjoy the delicate, masterfully hand-painted designs for a lifetime, we recommend handling them with care. The painted porcelain is generally dishwasher-safe; however, it is best to wash it by hand on a regular basis to prevent the colors from fading due to overly frequent machine washing over an extended period of time.

Due to the metallic finishes—24k gold or glossy platinum—the porcelain is not suitable for use in the microwave.

Each of the precious ARKADIA medallions tells a story from the world of ancient legends. Trude Petri's neoclassical form, created in 1938, provides the ideal stage for the appearances of Cupid, Demeter and Pan, dolphin and lion, shell and panpipe - the variety of motifs and ideas seems limitless. Siegmund Schütz modeled the filigree reliefs from biscuit porcelain. The marble-like texture of the material allows the fine contours to stand out in the interplay of light and shadow and brings fabulous moments to the table.
