“Brutally local”—that’s the motto of the Nobelhart & Schmutzig restaurant in Berlin, which opened in 2015 Kreuzberg. For owner and sommelier Billy Wagner and head chef Micha Schäfer, “Brutal lokal” means breaking away from traditional concepts of haute cuisine and relying on food producers from the Berlin area and the finest seasonal ingredients—you won’t find lemons, tuna, or chocolate here.

As a guest, you’ll sit around the open kitchen at a counter or at the large table and enjoy the 10-course meal served on carefully curated porcelain from the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin. With the collection LAB —available in minimalist white or opulently painted KURLAND variations—regional ingredients, prepared to perfection, are paired with porcelain of timeless aesthetic appeal and style-defining design, creating an experience of handcrafted luxury that meets the highest standards of quality.
In addition to our plates, crafted using time-honored artisanal techniques at our historic manufacturing site in Berlin-Charlottenburg , you’ll also find other select items from the manufactory here, such as stylish lanterns from the PLANETARIUM series made of fine bisque porcelain, which were created in 2016 in collaboration with Studio Mark Braun .
