This “ lantern ” was created as part of the KPM+ Studio Mark Braun collaboration. Designer Mark Braun drew inspiration from the fascinating world of the cosmos to develop the “PLANETARIUM.” The designer and the “ KPM Berlin ” share a passion for objects crafted with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional artisanal skill. This appreciation for value and quality served as the foundation for their collaboration. The result is a limited-edition series featuring a minimalist design that tells the story of a journey through our solar system and invites you to rediscover the world of KPM porcelain. Light, the central element of our solar system: bound by their gravitational pull, 8 planets orbit the Sun in their own perfect rhythm. Inspired by this force, the PLANETARIUM represents a “ lantern ” series of 8 time-limited, hand-painted “ decor ” variations. Accompanied by a handwritten note indicating the number of days it takes for each celestial body to complete one orbit around the Sun, the PLANETARIUM becomes a collector’s item—for moments of tranquility, harmony, and slowing down. Each “ lantern ,” crafted from velvety biscuit porcelain , functions as a standalone piece as well as part of a stackable set. So let’s begin our journey through our solar system—starting with Jupiter.
