Product Information

Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur and the Berlin City Palace share a common history. The palace has always served as the principal residence of the House of Hohenzollern. Frederick the Great was born in the Berlin City Palace in 1712. He himself founded the Berlin porcelain manufactory KPM in 1763. The two institutions are connected in other ways as well: Karl Friedrich Schinkel designed parts of the Berlin Palace as well as various pieces for the capital’s porcelain manufactory. KPM Berlin presents an exclusive edition featuring a gold depiction of the historic building. The pieces in this edition make ideal souvenirs of the capital and serve as authentic ambassadors for their city—HANDMADE IN BERLIN.

Care

To ensure that you can enjoy the delicate, masterfully hand-painted designs for a lifetime, we recommend handling them with care. The painted porcelain is generally dishwasher-safe; however, it is best to wash it by hand on a regular basis to prevent the colors from fading due to overly frequent machine washing over an extended period of time.

Due to the metallic finishes—24k gold or glossy platinum—the porcelain is not suitable for use in the microwave.
