The Stuttgart-based artist Reiner Xaver Sedelmeier became known for his couches made of corrugated iron, chairs without seats and a gold dustbin. With the limited KPM+ edition, the artist has once again taken the utilitarian aspect out of the MANDORLA design, transforming the everyday object vase into a work of art with neon coloration. "It is my passion to recharge and reinterpret objects, materials and items by stripping them of their actual purpose.

The Stuttgart artist Reiner Xaver Sedelmeier inspired KPM head designer Thomas Wenzel to create a collaboration in which everyday design meets high-quality porcelain. The decor was inspired by industrial mudguards. The result was jug, mugs and vases made of biscuit porcelain in a cylindrical shape, which were given the typical elliptical forms of metal. The industrial derivation inspired KPM head designer Thomas Wenzel and defined the shape: "Tear plate is normally rolled, so the starting point was quickly to take the cylinder or, in other words, the tube as the shape."

"It is my passion to charge and reinterpret objects, materials and items by removing them from their actual purpose, i.e. freeing them from their actual functionality. In this edition, I am particularly fascinated by the contrast between the protective aspect of the sheet steel and the fragility of the porcelain."
The vase is limited to 15 pieces.
