Product Information

With the small URBINOtea pot from the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, teatime becomes a pleasure that is as stylish as it is delightful. The spherical shape characteristic of URBINO reveals the stylistic influence of the Bauhaus and New Objectivity movements. Its 0.65-liter capacity is sufficient for five to six URBINOtea cups. Together with these, the small URBINO sugar bowl, and the small URBINOcreamer , the pot forms a harmonious set. Note: A lid is not included. A hand-drawn, delicate black frame from the Canto design accentuates the minimalist circular shape that underpins the aesthetic of Trude Petri’s URBINO collection, allowing you to rediscover its balanced form on your table.

Care

To ensure that you can enjoy the delicate, masterfully hand-painted designs for a lifetime, we recommend handling them with care. The painted porcelain is generally dishwasher-safe; however, it is best to wash it by hand on a regular basis to prevent the colors from fading due to overly frequent machine washing over an extended period of time.

The painted porcelain is also microwave-safe.

History

Designer: Trude Petri

Year: 1931

Material: Porcelain

In 1931, Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection. Its clarity and aesthetics, created through consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all forms: the circle. Inspiration was also provided by the Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino as the namesake of the collection. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a delicate lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.
