Product Information

Treat your family and friends not only to culinary delights, but also to the finest design: for example, in the form of the large oval “ platter ” from the URBINO dinnerware set by KPM Berlin. It measures 31 by 43 centimeters, making it the perfect size for a roast or a whole fish. Its timeless aesthetic makes it an absolute showstopper on the buffet table. The gently curved shapes of the URBINO collection are accentuated in the “ decor ” 11 by minimalist accents of genuine polished platinum. A band, hand-drawn by a skilled artisan, wraps around the circular pieces of the collection, making plates, bowls, and cups shine with unique stylistic confidence.

Care

To ensure that you can enjoy the delicate, masterfully hand-painted designs for a lifetime, we recommend handling them with care. The painted porcelain is generally dishwasher-safe; however, it is best to wash it by hand on a regular basis to prevent the colors from fading due to overly frequent machine washing over an extended period of time.

Due to the metallic finishes—24k gold or glossy platinum—the porcelain is not suitable for use in the microwave.

History

Designer: Trude Petri

Year: 1931

Material: Porcelain

In 1931, Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection. Its clarity and aesthetics, created through consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all forms: the circle. Inspiration was also provided by the Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino as the namesake of the collection. The special thinness of the pieces conveys a delicate lightness that supports everyday enjoyment.

Gift wrapping

Have your porcelain gift-wrapped in royal blue paper with an elegant white bow. To do so, add "Gift Wrapping" to your selection in the shopping cart.

You can also include a greeting card with your order, which we can handwrite with your personal message upon request.
