Trude Petri designed the URBINO collection in 1931. Its clarity and aesthetics, created by consistent omission, are based on the most balanced of all shapes: the circle. The Upper Italian Renaissance and the Italian city of Urbino, which gave the collection its name, also provided inspiration. The coffee pot from the KPM URBINO service reflects the full genius of the design. The slender teardrop shape of the pot is consistently continued in the lid and is crowned by a spherical knob. With a capacity of 1.2 liters, the large coffee pot from the URBINO service by KPM Berlin can hold up to ten URBINO coffee cups or five URBINO breakfast cups.
