The LAB To-go Box, made of handcrafted porcelain, is a sophisticated and sustainable companion for everyday life. Thanks to its 1.1-liter capacity and an airtight lid, this porcelain lunchbox is perfect for enjoying a meal on the go or for stylishly storing food in your refrigerator at home.
Inspired by 20th-century KPM laboratory porcelain, Chief Designer Thomas Wenzel created this multifunctional series in 2015. The To-go Box captivates with its minimalist, technical design language and the series’ characteristic feel, featuring velvety and smooth porcelain textures: While the upper part of the box is glazed, the lower part is left unglazed. The combination of matte “ biscuit porcelain ” and smooth glazed porcelain transforms the box into a unique tactile experience.
The clean, minimalist, almost openwork “Enso” rim decoration breaks with the tradition of the classic, uniform colored rim. In Japanese calligraphy, “Enso” signifies enlightenment and elegance, strength and harmony. It depicts a brushstroke applied richly and thickly in a single movement, gradually losing intensity as it extends. This form inspired the “ decor ” Enso, which adds original accents to the LAB collection and the table in a variety of colors.
Note: Transporting liquids is not recommended. The lid must be removed before using the box in the oven or microwave.
