Another member of the LAB family is the LAB Herb Garden, consisting of three planters and a real wood stand. The planters have a capacity of 1.28 liters, providing ample space for fresh herbs—whether homegrown or purchased at the market—such as basil, mint, or chives.
Inspired by 20th-century laboratory porcelain, KPM Chief Designer Thomas Wenzel developed the minimalist, technical design language of the LAB series. The multifunctionality of its universally applicable products—such as mortars and pestles, cup, jars, vases, and plates—which has been consistently refined for the modern kitchen laboratory, impresses equally with its iconic, timeless design and its exceptional tactile quality. In keeping with the versatility of the LAB products, the herb pots are also highly adaptable; for example, houseplants can find a new home in them.”
All members of the progressive LAB family can be recognized by the chrome-green stamp and the “BERLIN” lettering. The green color was previously used to identify KPM laboratory porcelain and, then as now, stands unequivocally for DESIGNED & HANDMADE IN BERLIN.
