KPM & Stefan Szczesny LÖBERSCHALE

The Royal Porcelain Manufactory and Stefan Szczesny are bringing the Côte d’Azur to Berlin with a strictly limited artist’s edition. Nine hand-painted, one-of-a-kind pieces from the “ Löberschale ” collection were created through a collaboration between the artist and the Royal Porcelain Manufactory.
For the artist, spontaneity and speed are what make the creative process authentic. It is precisely this immediacy that suggests a fluid materiality. “For me, KPM stands for historical grandeur and uncompromising quality. I am fascinated by the combination of hardness and delicacy in porcelain, and its pure white reminds me of light. It allows me to bring my drawings to life in a particularly direct and vibrant way.”
As a painter, sculptor, and draftsman, his subjects are expressive forms and colors—such as stylized flowers, Mediterranean fruits, and beautiful female figures. “My aim is to freely depict vitality and a celebration of life.” During his guest residency at the KPM Berlin Meistermalerei, Szczesny transferred this spirit to the porcelain icons of KPM Berlin.
