Edible emotions in the form of pickles, sausages and chips: Artist Charlotte Adam knows how to convey great emotions in her works with simple motifs. "Food is not only essential for everyone's survival, it also has great symbolic power. In addition to pure nutritional intake and as a means of enjoyment, food culture also stands for identity, rituals, creativity, care, power, communication and social status," says Adam.
Her editions celebrating indulgence, which the Berlin artist produces, sell out in no time at all, and her still lifes adorn hyped book covers. For her collaboration with KPM Berlin, she has staged the currywurst bowls in the KURLAND collection with two motifs - the base of the bowl is adorned with her signature gherkin, happy chips and contented-looking sausages. And because everything has an end, but the sausage has two, there is a love message on the back: "I like Dish" and "I need Dish" - a play on words to suit our taste.
The KURLAND currywurst bowls from the "Eating Emotions" edition are limited to the year 2025.
