aviator cup, large "D.100 Platin" edition

With the “D.100” edition, the “ KPM Berlin ” celebrates 100 years of the Bauhaus Dessau and reissues Marguerite Friedlaender’s “ aviator cup ” in a minimalist “ decor .” As a nod to the HALLE Vase B100, chief designer Thomas Wenzel showcases the cup in a geometric Bauhaus pattern in black. Originally created as a design study in the 1930s, the “ KPM Berlin ” re-edited the “ aviator cup ” to mark the 260th anniversary of the manufactory. Now a bestseller—it embodies the Bauhaus principle of “form follows function” like almost no other object: the cup and “ saucer ” fit together perfectly, forming a non-slip, tip-proof duo. The “D.100 Platinum” edition pairs the cup’s “ decor ” with a hand-stamped platinum saucer.
