To mark the 250th anniversary of the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, head designer Thomas Wenzel created the collection and brought the iconic KURLAND, which has existed since 1790, to life in a new way: the glaze is removed by hand to bring out the relief to perfection.

The KURLAND shape was originally called "Service with antique edge". It was not until the 19th century that the porcelain was given its current name in honor of the Duke of Kurland, who had once commissioned it from KPM Berlin. The clear design pays homage to the ideals of antiquity.
