AN INTERNSHIP DAY IN THE MANUFACTORY

KPM Berlin took part in the internship week for the first time. Since 2020, the aim of the internship week has been to provide practical insights for sound career guidance.

Every day during the summer vacation, school pupils can get to know new, exciting professional fields. Companies and pupils get to know each other in a one-day taster internship. The pupils change companies after each day and gain experience in different professions. As many days and companies as they want.

Four interns had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at the production facility of Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin and learn about the profession of industrial ceramist. The day began with the interns getting to know each other in the Einstein Café on the manufactory premises together with Managing Director Martina Hacker. They then gained their first insights into the processes at KPM during a tour of the production and painting departments. Afterwards, the interns were able to immerse themselves in the processes of the manufactory and actively participate in order to get a feel for the profession. After the work was done, there was a short historical review of the KPM history.
