The mugs in the LAB series are considered true multifunctional talents in the collection developed by KPM head designer Thomas Wenzel based on the laboratory porcelain produced in the past, which is characterized by its clear aesthetics and functionality. With a capacity of 250 ml, the No. 1B mug is ideal for use as a delicate tea bowl, weighing just 126 g and fitting perfectly in the hand. Like the other mugs in the series, the mix of glossy-smooth glazed porcelain in the upper half and matt biscuit porcelain in the lower half makes mug 1B a real hand-pleaser.
The clear, minimalist, almost openwork Enso border design breaks with the tradition of the classic, evenly colored border. In Japanese calligraphy, Enso means something like: enlightenment and elegance, strength and harmony. It is a brushstroke that is applied richly and pastily in a single movement and loses strength as it progresses. This shape was the inspiration for the Enso decor, which brings original accents to the LAB collection and to the table in various colors.
