Notes on cookies

Cookies are text files that are stored on the user's computer when they visit a website. KPM uses so-called session cookies, which are immediately deleted when the browser is closed. These allow you to conveniently enjoy the cross-page shopping cart display, for example, in which you can see how many items are currently in your shopping cart and how tall your current purchase value is. In addition, KPM also uses cookies that are used beyond the session ("cross-session cookies"). These cookies in particular serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, to display information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests. The sole purpose is therefore to adapt our offer to your customer wishes in the best possible way and to make your surfing with us as comfortable as possible.

Web tracking

On this website, information about the surfing behavior of website visitors is collected and stored in anonymized form for marketing purposes. This data is stored on your computer using so-called cookie text files and allows us to analyze surfing behavior in anonymized form. For example, the city from which a website visitor comes, the browser type and operating system the website visitor uses, and the pages he or she has visited on the website. Under no circumstances can the data obtained be used to personally identify the visitor to this website. The data collected is only used to improve the offer. Therefore, all IP addresses are shortened so that IP addresses are only processed in anonymized form. No other use or disclosure to third parties will occur.

Google Website Analytics Tool

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). Further information on this can be found at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or www.google.de/intl/de/policies/ (general information on Google Analytics and data protection). We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code „gat._anonymizeIp();“ in order to guarantee an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

This website also uses the Google Signals service as an extension of Google Analytics. Google Signals enables us to have cross-device reports created by Google (so-called “Cross Device Tracking”). If you have activated “personalized ads” in your settings in your Google account and you have linked your internet-enabled devices to your Google account, Google can analyze user behavior across devices with the corresponding consent to the use of Google Analytics in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR (see above) and create database models based on this. The registrations
and device types of all page visitors who were logged in to a Google account and carried out a conversion are taken into account. Among other things, the data shows on which device you first clicked on an ad and on which device the associated conversion took place. We do not receive any personal data from Google, but only statistics created on the basis of Google Signals. You have the option of deactivating the “personalized ads” function in the settings of your Google account and thus deactivating cross-device analysis. Follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de

Service Klaviyo

We use Klaviyo on our website. Klaviyo is a service for our email marketing. The service provider is the American company Klaviyo, 125 Summer St, Boston, MA 02110, USA. Klaviyo also processes personal data in the USA, among other places. We must point out that, according to the decision of the European Court of Justice and the opinion of the Conference of Independent Data Protection Supervisory Authorities of the Federal Government and the federal states of July 28, 2020 (Schrems 2), there is currently no adequate level of data protection for data transfer to the USA. This can be associated with various risks for lawfulness and security from a data protection perspective. As a basis for data processing by recipients based in third countries (outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and especially in the USA) or a data transfer to such countries, Klaviyo uses standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission (= Art. 46 Para. 2 and 3 GDPR). These clauses oblige Klaviyo to comply with the EU data protection level when processing relevant data even outside the European Union. These clauses are based on an implementing decision by the EU Commission. You can find the decision and the relevant clauses here, among other places: ec.europa.eu/germany/news/20210604-datentransfers-eu_de Further information about the personal data processed by Klaviyo can be found in the Prvacy Policy at www.klaviyo.com/privacy/policy
