Treasure box "Boîte de Louise" Limited Edition
The treasure box - a storage place for individual treasures and personal valuables. What special pieces did Queen Luise of Prussia once keep in her box? The limited edition of the “Boite de Louise” tells stories of its time and invites you to indulge yourself over and over again in contemporary design about your own favorite pieces. KPM chief designer Thomas Wenzel and industrial designer Hermann August Weizenegger developed the fascinatingly versatile jewelry box together. First of all, the elaborately crafted glass lid of the jar catches the eye. The glass blank is ground and polished by hand. Metallic particles, which are applied by means of a complex high vacuum process, ensure the smoky color. This means that every lid is a hand-made one-off piece. The porcelain body, the center of the piece of jewelery, is proof of the unique expertise of the manufacture. The virtuosity in dealing with the material porcelain is evident in the processing using a diamond cut process, in which the piece of porcelain is perfected by hand. Thomas Wenzel further developed the design by the industrial designer Weizenegger and transferred it to the special features of the noble material. The combination of the deep black color of the outside of the object with the shiny gold inside gives off something mysterious and mystical.
