Sugar bowl oval, ARKADIA

The oval sugar bowl from the ARKADIA service is available online in the KPM Berlin porcelain store in white as well as with the Artima decor or a platinum rim. The relief medallion in matte bisque porcelain shows a sun. The mighty god Helios and Sol, who crossed the sky daily with his sun chariot, was symbolized in Greek mythology as the sun.

KPM Berlin takes the viewer to the dreamland of Arcadia with the exclusive ARKADIA service. Relief medallions in bisque porcelain, reminiscent of the ancient cameo tradition, are placed on the plate flags and fronts of ARKADIA. In a modern take on the world of the gods of antiquity, Siegmund Schütz draws the story of Arcadia in the medallions. The decoration forms a playful contrast to the clear lines of the porcelain.
