KURLAND office mug and saucer fond PRUSARIAN BLUE, simple gold staffage
The beautifully shaped KURLAND office cup with its Prussian blue decor will be an eye-catcher on your desk. This royal composition is crowned by a fine gold rim. This is made of genuine, 24-karat gold. To apply the precious metal to the porcelain, the gold is ground and mixed with oil. This creates a liquid color with which the porcelain can be decorated. For more than 200 years, the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin has been producing the KURLAND dinner service, which was commissioned around 1790 by Peter Biron, Duke of Courland. If the collection was originally called "Service mit antiquer Kanthe", it was later renamed KURLAND in honor of the Duke.
