"Porcelain is a diva," says KPM chief designer Thomas Wenzel about the white material. Its handling is a challenge that can only be mastered with pure passion and great craftsmanship. At KPM + contemporary artists and designers face up to this task and create extraordinary objects of art with a new perspective and their personal fascination for porcelain.
The demanding SZ magazine and the Berlin manufactory recently got to know and appreciate each other during a cooperation. The resulting friendship and same language literally screamed for another joint project. The progressive illustrator Jean Jullien has been associated with the magazine for years, so it was obvious to use these synergies and to start an extraordinary collaboration. The Frenchman then designed an exclusive design for the BERLIN series. In the KPM Berlin, these cups and plates are then produced piece by piece in the hand-made since 1763 proven.
